Mercal celebrates 30 years of activity
2.2.2026In 2026, Mercal marks its 30th anniversary, celebrating three decades of supporting the Portuguese business community.
Founded in 1996, Mercal was created with a clear vision to help businesses grow, innovate and expand beyond borders. Over the years, the firm has built a strong track record in internationalisation, business cooperation and foreign investment, evolving alongside the needs of its clients and the changing global landscape.
From its early focus on Portuguese speaking markets, Mercal has expanded its activities across Europe and other strategic regions. A key milestone in this journey was joining IMCN in 2004, strengthening international collaboration with partner consultancies across the network. In 2022, Mercal also became a member of TRANSEO, further reinforcing its expertise in business transfer, M and A and financial restructuring.
With more than 3,000 projects delivered and teams active across four continents, Mercal continues to focus on creating value through international cooperation, sustainable growth and long term partnerships.
