German Market Entry

Background
Towards the end of 2024, a French technology company was preparing to
expand into the German market as part of its European growth strategy.

Recognising the need for market-specific insight and a structured approach
to entry, the CEO engagedANXO Management Consulting for support.
Following strategic discussions, both parties agreed to initiate a joint project
to support the ANXOs client with the German Market entry.

The overall goal of the project was to enable the client to successfully enter
the German market and establish a strong presence in Germany.
 

Approach
ANXO Management Consulting supported the French technology company by
combining strategic input, market insight, and targeted facilitation. Acting as a
coach, trusted advisor, and local guide, ANXO worked closely with the client and
helped lay the foundation for a successful entry into the German market. The
collaboration began with dedicated workshops at the client’s site in France. The
objective was to develop a go-to-market concept tailored to the client and the
German practices. The sessions were structured around four key modules:

  1. Company Positioning – Deep dive into the client's business model,
    strategic vision, core success factors and positioning. The aim was a
    shared understanding of the company to support finding the best-suited
    market entry strategy.
  2. Market insights – ANXO provided an overview of the dynamic market
    landscape in Germany, including market segmentation, site and key
    success factors. The second pillar helped the client to build profound
    knowledge about the German target market.
  3. Target Customers – Together, the client and ANXO defined selection
    criteria for ideal clients Several representative customers were examined
    in detail, with a focus on understanding their information flows and
    decision-making processes within the organisation to ensure the success
    for the ANXO’s client.
  4. Marketing and Visibility – Relevant instruments for raising awareness
    were identified, and a tailored strategy was developed to support brand
    positioning in the German market. Two high-impact channels were
    highlighted with ANXO, demonstrating how these channels can be
    effectively leveraged to create awareness, build credibility, and establish
    a strong market presence.

Outcome
Through discussions around strategic positioning, comprehensive market
insights, targeted customer engagement, and tailored marketing strategies,
the company was enabled to effectively navigate entry challenges.

Utilising high-impact channels identified through ANXO’s expertise, the
company gained valuable insights how to raise its brand visibility, secure key
accounts, and lay the groundwork for sustainable growth, aligning its offerings
with local market dynamics seamlessly.
